How it all started
Construction Services, Inc. was founded by Mike Scroggins and has been incorporated since February 3, 1967.
Once established as a manufacturer, CSI concentrated on miscellaneous metals, i.e. steel stairs and railings. Over the years, CSI has evolved into a specialized metals fabricator. Our products include rail systems, monumental and radiused/spiral stairs, and a wide variety of architectural metalwork including, but not limited to, wall panels, torcheres, gazebos, column covers and decorative art designs. The materials used include carbon steel, nickel silver, aluminum, brass and bronze, with any type of finish required. We also offer glass, wood, casting, etc.
CSI is a member of NOMMA, and has earned numerous industry awards. We have fulfilled all contractual obligations since our inception.
Construction Services, Inc. is located on 7 acres in Decatur, Alabama. We have a 53,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility and an 8,000 sq. ft. administration building.
Our facility is equipped with the most innovative machinery and workspaces available. Our exterior custom fabrication area for extra large fabrication units has its own overhead crane system.
Construction Services, Inc. has state-of-the-art equipment. Much of it has been custom designed and built for our unique needs. This fabrication equipment is capable of producing products to exact requirements and tight tolerances.
Our equipment is capable of handling unique shapes and sizes, multiple blends, precise joinery and exact duplication of parts. We also have cranes and fork trucks capable of loading, unloading and handling all of our materials.

2D and 3D Rendering
CSI offers structural computations of a design project by using Cosmos/M Finite element analysis software. Monumental stairs, canopies and guard railings, to name a few, are analyzed for material sizes and connection details required to meet loading criteria and code requirements.
The preliminary design assistance can save the designer time and money in the development process. Our engineering department uses CAD and Microstation systems that are compatible with most designers systems.
